Me and mum took Nan and Grandad to Lake Windermere for a short holiday, looks like it was during the summer, around 1982.

Went in mums new car, a yellow and black Triumph Toledo.

We stayed in a cottage at the South end of Lake Windermere, near the old Dolly Blue works at Backbarrow, now demolished.   The Dolly Blue works now looks like it is fashionable apartments but when we were there it was still running, had blue stains allover the walls and roads etc. very much like the photo on this link http://heritagephotoarchive.co.uk/p503496122/hA46EC14#ha46ec14 (all rights reserved The Harvey Collection)

Drove all around the Lakes and visited lots of country houses and gardens
